Instructions:

  • 1 Fill Ziploc® snack bags with all art supplies listed above and seal. Cut and fold the free artsy printable, then attach to the top of each bag with two staples (one at each bottom corner).

Directions:

  • 1 Fill a Ziploc® brand storage bag with all the materials listed and seal.
  • 2 Cut and fold the free summer’s last splash printable and attach to the top of each bag with staples (use a bright wrapping paper if you don’t have a printer).

Get ready for a sugar rush. This sweet idea for DIY cookie kits is easy as pie. Not to mention, it’s a great way to help kids learn their ABC’s.

Materials:

  • Ziploc® brand sandwich bags
  • Store-bought cookie dough
  • ½ c of flour
  • Store-bought cookie icing (various colors)
  • ABC and crayon-shaped cookie cutters
  • Small tubes of icing (for inside the cookie kits)
  • Printable bag topper

Directions:

  • 1 Add ½ c of flour to 16 oz. of store-bought cookie dough (this will help your cookies keep their shape in the oven).
  • 2 Roll out the cookie dough and use cookie cutters to create interesting designs. Add to lined cookie sheets and place in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  • 3 Bake cookies according to the cookie dough packaging.
  • 4 Remove from oven and let the cookies cool before icing. Tip: Fill a Ziploc® brand bag with icing and cut of the tip for easy piping.
  • 5 Once dry, fill Ziploc® brand bags with cookies and include one small tube of icing for kids to continue decorating on their own.
