DIY No-Sew Felt Finger Puppets

October 01, 2013
Kids seem to touch anything in reach, so give them a gift that will keep their hands busy. These no-sew felt finger puppets are a snap to make, and your kids will love putting on a show with a variety of these cute little creatures.

Materials for duck

  • Yellow and orange felt
  • Hot glue
  • Fabric scissors
  • Googly eyes
  • Black marker
  • Pliers or tweezers

Directions

  • 1 Cut out a 3x3 inch square of fabric for the body base. Wrap around your finger, or your child’s finger, and trim to size
  • 2 Cut out two humps (in the shape of an “M”). Line one edge with glue and fold closed. You may need to press down for a moment while the glue dries.
  • 3 Cut out the feet and the beak from orange felt and glue to the bottom and middle of the puppet. We made two dots for the beak with black marker.
  • 4 Add the googly eyes. Because hot glue may burn your fingers, consider using tweezers or pliers to set the eyes down.
