3 Big Flavor Korean Marinades

Ingredients
2 small onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ (120 ml) cup soy sauce
½ cup (120 ml) gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
1 tsp (5 ml) rice vinegar
¼ cup (60 ml) sesame oil
¼ (55 g) cup brown sugar

Combine the ingredients in a Ziploc® brand slider storage bag.
2.
Add your favorite protein (we used chicken legs) and vegetables (we used carrots, green onion, green pepper and pineapple), seal the bag and shake to coat.
3.
Place in the refrigerator to marinate - anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, for maximum “mmm.”

Grill or stir fry and serve with noodles or rice.

1 tbsp (15 ml) sesame oil

Add traditional Korean BBQ flavor to this easy, weeknight stir fry or use the same recipe for your next backyard cookout.

Make a puree of the onion, pear, garlic and ginger in a food processor or using a grater.
2.
Transfer puree to a Ziploc® brand slider storage bag and add remaining ingredients.

Add your favorite protein (we used firm tofu) and vegetables (we used red pepper, snap peas, mushrooms and onion), seal the bag and shake to coat.
4.
Place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.

Stir fry or grill and serve with noodles or rice.

This spicy Korean seasoning sauce works great as a marinade for beef. For tougher cuts of meat, marinate longer – up to overnight.

Combine the ingredients in a Ziploc® brand seal top storage bag.
2.
Add your favorite protein (we used thinly sliced beef) and vegetables (we used onions and garlic), seal the bag and shake to coat.
3.
Place in the refrigerator to marinate for 30 minutes or up to overnight.
4.
Cook over a grill or stir fry and serve topped with sliced scallion and toasted sesame seeds.
