This low on effort, but high in flavor meal is a recipe straight from the kitchens of Germany. They know a thing or two about making it through cold winters, after all. A classic blend of slow cooked cabbage, sweet tart apples and German sausage makes a hearty meal perfect for a wintry day!
Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
Salt and pepper
Place cabbage and apples in a slow cooker and lay bratwurst on top. Add broth and vinegar to the slow cooker and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Cover and cook for 3 hours on high or 7 hours on low.
