Layered Harvest Chop Salad

This hearty harvest salad has fantastic flavors that just won’t stop! It works great as a lunch to go, layered as shown (dressing first!) in a Ziploc® Twist ‘N Loc®, paired with rolls and butter. Perfect for a crazy day when you know you'll be running out for fast food unless you have something ready!

Ingredients

  • 1

    apple, cored and diced
  • 1

    tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1

    can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 4

    cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 4

    oz salami, diced
  • cup toasted almonds, chopped
  • ⅓ - ½ 

    cup parmesan dressing

Directions

    • 1 In a small bowl, or in a sealed Ziploc® brand bag, toss apples with lemon juice to keep from browning.
    • 2 In two medium Ziploc® Twist ‘N Loc® containers, divide and layer in this order to avoid sogginess: dressing, chickpeas, romaine lettuce, salami, apple, and almonds.
    • 3 To serve, shake well to coat the salad with the dressing.
